First in Texas: Perry Office Plus Installs Laundromat’s Automatic Chemical Dosing System
With the help of Perry Office Plus, Tornado Laundromat in Amarillo, Texas, became the first coin-operated laundromat in the State to install a chemical dosing system!
The system is only the fourth in the nation to be installed in a coin-operated laundromat.
Partnering with Hydro Systems, Problend Solutions, Laundrylux, and Tornado Laundromat, a team of Perry technicians spent a week in the fall of 2022 installing and programming 20 Laundylux washing machines, and two Hydro Systems Multi-Washer 10000 Series units. Each of these units supports up to 10 washers at once!
These dispensing units accurately and reliably dose up to 10 chemical products across hundreds of different formulas to create unique blends targeting stains, colors, scents, and more. Our Facility Solutions team leader, Ross Griggs, coded 16 programs to be installed on each washing machine for this project.
Perry Office Plus was also the selected vendor for Tornado’s laundry chemicals, including 55-gallon tubs of detergents, stain removers, and more, manufactured by Texas-based ProBlend Solutions.
While this type of chemical dosing system is often utilized in industrial applications, such as hospitality, healthcare, athletic, and correctional facilities, it is still brand new to the world of commercial laundromats.
These high-tech systems not only benefit laundromat users by eliminating the need to carry or purchase detergents, but also empower laundromat owners to optimize their machines’ performance from virtually anywhere with remote access and the ability to see data on their water, chemical, and energy use. That all adds up to cost savings and improved service.
