Consider all the forms, handouts, pages, menus, and more that your workplaces uses that could be laminated and written on with dry erase markers to make them easy to clean, sanitize and re-use.
Select the right laminating machine for your pages.
If your pages are usually letter-sized (8.5″ x 11″), you can use a 9″ width capacity laminating machine. Larger pages or posters like 11×17 pages require a larger machine, such as a 12.5″ width capacity.
Hot or Cold?
Hot lamination is the most common and most durable lamination method, using a a heat-activated adhesive that is heated as it passes through the laminator. The downside to hot laminators is that some items, like some photographs, can not handle the heat required to apply the lamination.
Cold laminators use a pressure-sensitive adhesive that does not need to be heated. The laminator uses rollers that push the sheets of lamination together. Cold laminators are faster and easier to use than hot laminators, and they are safe for nearly all flat items.
Self-Laminating Sheets
A third option is to use self-laminating sheets. These are not as waterproof or durable as using a traditional lamination method, but are good for quick jobs and gives you a way to laminate without a laminating machine or any equipment at all.
