Our Favorites from NeoCon 2023
The Furniture By Perry team explored what’s new, what’s hot, and what’s staying relevant in the workplace furniture industry at MillerKnoll’s Design Days, introducing 30 new products and product line extensions from MillerKnoll and their brands, and NeoCon, which has been the world’s leading platform and most important event of the year for the commercial interior design industry since 1969.
If you’re looking for a workplace refresh, our team is up-to-date on the latest trends to get you the exact style you’re looking for! While there were countless pieces and trends showcased, we wanted to share some of our favorites here:
Trend 1: Unique Height-Adjustable Desks
OFS showed off their new height-adjustable desk. We absolutely loved the slim breakfront look, hidden height-adjustable legs, and mitered corner detail. This would be a great piece for an executive office or a lobby!
And this oversized cantilever height-adjustable offered by JSI. We know that some people have concerns about the standard size of a height-adjustable workstation, so we think that this is the perfect solutions for those who need more space!
Trend 2: Curved Shapes
Our team noticed that curved shapes are becoming more popular on modern furniture, and the Monterey lounge sofa below is a perfect example. Mix-and-match colors and patterns or select one that matches your space and watch as the room is transformed to feel more inviting and comfortable.
Trend 3: Tubular Frames
Kimball showed how beautiful a bold, tubular frame can be with their Kithara Lounge collection. Here, the walnut finish stands out against the eggnog fabric while still giving a transitional feel to the products. This look is perfect for lounge spaces!
Product 1: Nomi Mobile Ottoman
DARRAN showed off their Nomi mobile ottomans available in seated, counter, and bar height. Pictured here is the counter height ottoman with built in power source. These unique seats hold a charge, meaning they can be charged overnight then pushed into open space to be utilized throughout the day!
Product 2: Pippin Chair
Compact yet solid and stable, Pippin by NaughtOne provides upholstered comfort and cupped support with a mobile design. It’s set on wheels and comes with a convenient strap handle that facilitates movement while adding a playful touch (if that’s not your style, it’s available without the castors and strap as well).
Product 3: Nelson Coconut Lounge Chair
The popularity of the Coconut Chair (or as we affectionately refer to it, the Doritos chair) isn’t a tough one to crack. Originally designed for comfort and movement, it’s been updated with new, more sustainable materials and more upholstery options!
Product 4: Gathr
Crafted from molded plywood, with an exposed plywood edge accent, OFS’ Gathr exudes both sophistication and style. Its two-tier module form allows for adaptability, creating harmonious landscapes that support various workflows. We loved how they assembled the modules at the show into seating that creates the perfect centerpiece for any open space!
Products 5 & 6: Peel Table & Alto Sofa
Frovi featured their Peel table, which draws upon simplicity and subtle sophistication with clean lines. The contemporary sleek silhouette and tough commercial durability makes it an idea fit for work environments.
Meanwhile, the Alto sofa brings a sense of wellbeing and style into a commercial environment with its deep foam cushions and pillow-edge shaping. It’s the perfect solution for relaxed meetings, socializing with coworkers, or providing a comfortable place for guests to wait!
